Gender and Diversity Analysis
Gender and diversity analysis considers cultural, social and economic differences between men and women and among diversity groups. It is used to ensure that potential impacts of policies, programs, and legislation on men, women and diversity groups are identified, and to ensure that existing and proposed policies, programs and legislation have intended and fair results for men, women and diversity groups.
The Women in Employment Committee developed this Gender and Diversity Analysis Lens to support the incorporation of gender and diversity considerations into CAALL's other standing committees' work. The Discussion Paper outlines the rationale for conducting gender and diversity analysis and provides guiding principles. The Sample Analysis is in the form of a PowerPoint presentation and examines the issue of Work-Life Balance in terms of gender and diversity analysis.
